DeLaine Mayer is an advocate for sustainable resource use in space and on Earth. She works with Full Cycle Bioplastics, whose patented biotechnology turns mixed organic waste into PHA, a non-toxic, biodegradable alternative to oil-based plastics. Full Cycle’s technology, represented by DeLaine, recently won two pitch competitions hosted by NASA iTech.

DeLaine earned her Master of Science from New York University studying Global Affairs, specializing in Energy and the Environment. Currently, she is a Master of Science candidate at Colorado School of Mines studying astropolitics in the Space Resources program. DeLaine serves on the advisory board for NYU's Energy, Climate Justice, and Sustainability Lab.
